Edenton Steamers Overcomes Tarboro River Bandits In Face Of Early 4-Run Inning

Even though Edenton Steamers gave up four runs in the first inning, they still defeated Tarboro River Bandits 10-6 on Saturday. Each had RBIs in the frame.

Edenton Steamers collected eight hits and Tarboro River Bandits had seven in the high-scoring affair.

Edenton Steamers took an early lead in the second inning. An error scored three runs for Edenton Steamers.

In the top of the fourth inning, Tarboro River Bandits tied things up at six. Andrew Casey hit a solo homer.

Wake Forest Fungo Drops Game To Tarboro River Bandits After Late Score

Wednesday, July 7, 2021 – Wake Forest, NC

Wake Forest Fungo stayed in it until the end, but Tarboro River Bandits pulled away late in a 7-6 victory on Wednesday. The game was tied at six with Tarboro River Bandits batting in the top of the seventh when Dane Hoggard drew a walk, scoring one run.

Wake Forest Fungo lost despite out-hitting Tarboro River Bandits nine to seven.

Wake Forest Fungo captured the lead in the third inning. Bryan Arendt drove in one when Arendt singled.

Tarboro River Bandits evened things up at six in the top of the sixth inning when Jackson Cherry singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Tarboro River Bandits took the lead for good with one run in the seventh inning. In the seventh Hoggard drew a walk, scoring one run.

Eli Culbreth was the winning pitcher for Tarboro River Bandits. The righty allowed two hits and zero runs over two innings, striking out four and walking one. Lawson Russell threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen. Russell recorded the last nine outs to earn the save for Tarboro River Bandits.

Jaysen Arendt was on the pitcher’s mound for Wake Forest FungoArendt allowed seven hits and six runs over six innings, striking out eight. Branden Kunz and Aiden Hough entered the game as relief, throwing two and two-thirds innings and one-third of an inning respectively.

Edenton Steamers Stays Scrappy In Loss To Greenbrier Knights

Edenton Steamers‘s effort to come back from down five runs in the sixth inning came up just short, as they fell 7-5 to Greenbrier Knights on Tuesday. Edenton Steamers scored two runs in the failed comeback on a single by Jacob Bisharat and a single by Casey Haire.

Edenton Steamers couldn’t keep up with Greenbrier Knights early in the game. Greenbrier Knights took the lead on a home run in the first inning.

Greenbrier Knights got things started in the first inning when Jose Cazorla homered on a 2-1 count, scoring two runs.

Edenton Steamers notched three runs in the seventh inning. The offensive firepower by Edenton Steamers was led by Bisharat and Haire, all driving in runs in the frame.

A walk-off single propelled Edenton Steamers to a decisive, dramatic victory over Greenbrier Knights, 6-5. Edenton Steamers was down 5-4 in the bottom of the eighth inning when Jackson Hipp singled on a 1-2 count, scoring two runs.

Edenton Steamers earned the victory despite allowing Greenbrier Knights to score three runs in the eighth inning. Myles WebbThomas Crandall, and Juan Lugo all drove in runs in the frame.

Edenton Steamers opened up an early lead in the second inning when Casey Haire singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.
