Thank You

With the close of our 2025 season, we would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude for the many people who helped make our 2025 season another great summer of baseball.

First, I want to thank my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, for allowing me the opportunity to spend another summer on the ball field, and for His journey mercies for myself, our players and fans as we travelled to and from our games.

Second, we want to thank our coaches and players, whose dedication, hard work, and great attitudes helped make this a great summer and we could not have asked for a better group of young men for Coach Slaughter and Coach Moore to work with.

Our players endured weather, long rides, heat, gnats, and some questionable calls by umpires, without complaint, and remained focused on controlling the controllable, smart situational play in the field, solid approaches at the plate, heads up baserunning, and quality pitching, which made for outstanding summer baseball and continued development for all.

Additionally, we would like to thank our fans and our player’s families, who came out to support us and cheer us on. Thank you for being there and being a part of our 2025 summer season.

We want to thank and acknowledge our team’s official scorekeeper and statistician, Shannon Dooley, for your dedication in being at our games, scoring them, and taking care of Game Changer for us.

We would also like to say thank you to Henry Morgan, caretaker WMS, Hank Morgan, HC Peninsula Pilots, Matt Mitchell, GM Peninsula Pilots, Thomas Byrd, F&B Manager WMS, and the rest of the staff at War Memorial Stadium for allowing us the privilege of calling War Memorial Stadium our home for another season and helping ensure our games, fans and players enjoyed a high quality baseball experience.

Finally, we want to say thank you to Eastern Officials Association and Jesse West, Commissioner EOA, for providing our umpires again this summer. The professionalism and quality of EOA umpires enhance our games and the players experience, and we appreciate all of the umpires who came out and worked our games this summer.

Thank you to all for being a part of the Greenbrier Knights Baseball Club’s 2025 summer season.
