Edenton Steamers Overcomes Tarboro River Bandits In Face Of Early 4-Run Inning
Saturday, July 10, 2021 – Edenton, NC
Even though Edenton Steamers gave up four runs in the first inning, they still defeated Tarboro River Bandits 10-6 on Saturday. Each had RBIs in the frame.
Edenton Steamers collected eight hits and Tarboro River Bandits had seven in the high-scoring affair.
Edenton Steamers took an early lead in the second inning. An error scored three runs for Edenton Steamers.
In the top of the fourth inning, Tarboro River Bandits tied things up at six. Andrew Casey hit a solo homer.
Edenton Steamers took the lead for good with one run in the fifth inning. In the fifth Jacob Bisharat‘s sac fly scored one run for Edenton Steamers.
Edenton Steamers put up six runs in the second inning. Case Kermode, Hunter Cole, Anthony Stehlin, and Joe Haney each had RBIs in the big inning.
Clark Dearman got the win for Edenton Steamers. The lefthander surrendered six runs on seven hits over five innings, striking out eight and walking one. Cannon Pickell, Cole Bates, and Michael Allen all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory.
Cole Vanderslice took the loss for Tarboro River Bandits. Vanderslice went three and a third innings, allowing one run on three hits, striking out six and walking zero.
Zach Mallia started the game for Tarboro River Bandits. The righthander lasted one and two-thirds innings, allowing one hit and six runs while striking out four
Edenton Steamers hit two home runs on the day. Kermode put one out in the second inning. Josh Pernetti had a long ball in the seventh inning.
Edenton Steamers collected eight hits. Pernetti, Kermode, Haney, and Aaron Copeland all managed multiple hits for Edenton Steamers. Copeland, Haney, Kermode, and Pernetti each managed two hits to lead Edenton Steamers. Edenton Steamers was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Kermode made the most plays with 16.
