Despite Strong Fight, Fuquay-Varina Twins Can’t Top Carolina Pirates

Fuquay-Varina Twins‘s effort to come back from down six runs in the third inning came up just short, as they fell 7-5 to Carolina Pirates on Tuesday. Fuquay-Varina Twins scored four runs in the failed comeback on a home run by Seth Bullock, a double by RJ Johnson, and a single by Jordan Daphney.

Fuquay-Varina Twins fell behind early in the loss. Carolina Pirates scored on a single by CJ Martin and an error in the first inning.

Carolina Pirates fired up the offense in the first inning. Carolina Pirates scored one run when Martin singled.

Edenton Steamers Drops Game Two of DH To Greenbrier Knights After Late Score

Edenton Steamers stayed in it until the end, but Greenbrier Knights pulled away late in a 4-3 victory on Monday. The game was tied at three with Greenbrier Knights batting in the top of the ninth when Shane McCarthy reached on a dropped third strike.

In the bottom of the seventh inning, Edenton Steamers tied things up at three when an error scored one run for Edenton Steamers.

Edenton Steamers tallied three runs in the seventh inning. The offensive firepower by Edenton Steamers was led by Case Kermode and Aaron Copeland, all driving in runs in the frame.

Wesley Overton got the win for Greenbrier Knights. The righty allowed zero hits and zero runs over one inning, walking zero. Brett Smith and Mike Pyers entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Edenton Steamers watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 6-1 loss to Greenbrier Knights on Monday. Greenbrier Knights scored on a home run by Zach Coldsnow and a double by Minjae Hong in the first inning.

In the first inning, Greenbrier Knights got their offense started when Coldsnow homered on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs.

Fuquay-Varina Twins fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 7-1 loss to Wake Forest Fungo on Sunday. Wake Forest Fungo scored on a single by Daniel Stephens and a stolen base by Eli Meredith in the second inning.

The Fuquay-Varina Twins struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Wake Forest Fungo, giving up seven runs.

Wake Forest Fungo got things started in the second inning when Stephens singled on a 2-0 count, scoring one run.

Jaysen Arendt was the winning pitcher for Wake Forest Fungo. The righthander went seven innings, allowing one run on four hits, striking out eight and walking one.

Tarboro River Bandits nabbed the lead late in the game in a 6-3 victory over Catawba Valley Stars on Sunday. The game was tied at three with Tarboro River Bandits batting in the bottom of the sixth when Nick Hussey singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run.

Catawba Valley Stars opened up scoring in the first inning. Blake Buzzeo drove in two when Buzzeo homered.

Julian Parson earned the win for Tarboro River Bandits. The righty lasted two innings, allowing zero hits and zero runs while striking out two and walking zero. Ryan Insco and Ryan Rouse entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Micheal Teague took the loss for Catawba Valley Stars. The hurler went two innings, allowing six runs on five hits.

Tarboro River Bandits defeated Catawba Valley Stars 9-5 on Sunday thanks in part to Zach Mallia, who drove in five runners. Mallia drove in runs on a grand slam in the second and a walk in the sixth.

Tarboro River Bandits grabbed an early lead. Tarboro River Bandits scored on a double by Ben Jones, a groundout by Brantley Cutler, a single by Pete Cosentino , and a grand slam by Mallia in the second inning.

Luke Carpenter led the Tarboro River Bandits to victory on the pitcher’s mound. The lefthander went three innings, allowing one run on two hits, striking out two and walking zero. Hunter Cole Drives In Four To Seal Edenton Steamers’s Victory Over Greenbrier Knights

Saturday, June 26, 2021 – Edenton, NC

Hunter Cole showed timely hitting on Saturday, driving in four on three hits to lead Edenton Steamers past Greenbrier Knights 9-4 on Saturday. Cole drove in runs on a single in the second, a home run in the fourth, and a double in the sixth.

Edenton Steamers grabbed an early lead. Edenton Steamers scored on a double by Ian Jenkins in the first inning, a single by Casey Haire in the first inning, and a single by Cole in the second inning.

Edenton Steamers knotted the game up at two in the bottom of the first inning. Haire singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run.

Edenton Steamers pulled away for good with one run in the second inning. In the second Cole singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run.

Edenton Steamers notched three runs in the sixth inning. Edenton Steamers offense in the inning was led by Chase BrunoCole, and Anthony Stehlin, who each had RBIs in the inning.

Daniel Willie got the win for Edenton Steamers. The righthander allowed four hits and three runs over six innings, striking out ten and walking zero. Cole Bates and Michael Allen entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Cole Taylor took the loss for Greenbrier Knights. The righthander lasted three and a third innings, allowing eight hits and six runs while striking out two.

Edenton Steamers tallied two home runs on the day. Cole had a dinger in the fourth inning. Josh Pernetti had a four bagger in the fourth inning.

Edenton Steamers racked up 13 hits in the game. ColeStehlin, and Jackson Hipp all managed multiple hits for Edenton SteamersStehlin and Cole each managed three hits to lead Edenton SteamersEdenton Steamers didn’t commit a single error in the field. Pernetti had 16 chances in the field, the most on the team.

Zach Coldsnow led Greenbrier Knights with two hits in four at bats.
