Zach Long Drives In Five To Fuquay-Varina Twins Victory Over Wake Forest Fungo

Zach Long was an RBI machine on Sunday, driving in five on three hits to lead Fuquay-Varina Twins past Wake Forest Fungo 9-2 on Sunday. Long drove in runs on a double in the second, a single in the third, and a single in the fourth.

Fuquay-Varina Twins grabbed an early lead. Fuquay-Varina Twins scored on a double by Long and a single by Garrett Chandler in the second inning.

Hunter Cole Drives In Four To Seal Edenton Steamers’s Victory Over Greenbrier Knights

Saturday, June 26, 2021 – Edenton, NC

Hunter Cole showed timely hitting on Saturday, driving in four on three hits to lead Edenton Steamers past Greenbrier Knights 9-4 on Saturday. Cole drove in runs on a single in the second, a home run in the fourth, and a double in the sixth.

Edenton Steamers grabbed an early lead. Edenton Steamers scored on a double by Ian Jenkins in the first inning, a single by Casey Haire in the first inning, and a single by Cole in the second inning.

Edenton Steamers knotted the game up at two in the bottom of the first inning. Haire singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run.

Edenton Steamers pulled away for good with one run in the second inning. In the second Cole singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run.

Wake Forest Fungo pulled away for good with five runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Caleb Fluno homered on a 0-2 count, scoring two runs and Eli Meredith singled on a 0-2 count, scoring two runs.

Wilson Tobs blew out Tarboro River Bandits 10-4 on Friday.

In the second inning, Tarboro River Bandits got their offense started when Ethan Fewell‘s sac fly scored one run for Tarboro River Bandits.

Wilson Tobs pulled away for good with four runs in the fifth inning. In the fifth #33 singled on a 2-0 count, scoring one run, #16 drew a walk, scoring one run, and #27 singled on a 2-0 count, scoring two runs.

Edenton Steamers Claims Lead In Sixth Inning To Defeat Catawba Valley Stars

Edenton Steamers nabbed the lead late in the game in an 11-6 victory over Catawba Valley Stars on Thursday. Edenton Steamers was down 6-5 in the bottom of the sixth inning when Ian Jenkins singled on a 0-2 count, scoring two runs.

Edenton Steamers collected eight hits and Catawba Valley Stars had four in the high-scoring affair.

Edenton Steamers fired up the offense in the first inning, when Anthony Stehlin drew a walk, scoring one run.

Edenton Steamers took the lead for good with four runs in the sixth inning. In the sixth Hunter Cole drew a walk, scoring one run and Weston Kerley‘s wild pitch allowed one run to score for Edenton Steamers.

Aiden Kuhle pitched Edenton Steamers to victory. Kuhle went one and two-thirds innings, allowing zero runs on zero hits, striking out two and walking zero. Zach BagleyBen Coffman, and Sam Duncan all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory.

Tarboro River Bandits opened up scoring in the first inning.

Tarboro River Bandits scored seven runs in the seventh inning. Tarboro River Bandits put the pressure on, lead by singles by Anthony SherwinCam Hassert, and Kendal Pierson , by Andrew Casey, an error on a ball put in play by Levis Aguila, and a double by Pierson .

Jonathan Peacock pitched Tarboro River Bandits to victory. Peacock allowed four hits and one run over five innings, striking out three. A number of pitchers entered the game as relief, with Will SmithRyan InscoLuke Carpenter , and Ben Roberts all securing outs and ultimately the victory.

Morehead City Marlins Can’t Catch Up To Edenton Steamers

Wednesday, June 23, 2021 – Morehead City, NC

Morehead City Marlins watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 3-1 loss to Edenton Steamers on Wednesday. Edenton Steamers scored on a home run by Hunter Cole and a home run by Aaron Copeland in the first inning.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Edenton Steamers pitchers struck out 12, while Morehead City Marlins sat down 12.

Edenton Steamers opened up scoring in the first inning. Edenton Steamers scored two runs when Cole homered.

Blake Gipson earned the win for Edenton Steamers. The righty lasted two innings, allowing two hits and zero runs while striking out four. Cole Bates and Michael Allen entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Allen recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Edenton Steamers.

Eric Miles took the loss for Morehead City Marlins. The pitcher lasted four innings, allowing five hits and three runs while striking out four and walking zero.

Daniel Brandon started the game for Edenton Steamers. The lefty went four innings, allowing one run on four hits and striking out two

Edenton Steamers tallied two home runs on the day. Cole went deep in the first inning. Copeland put one out in the first inning.

Gibson Krzeminski led Morehead City Marlins with three hits in three at bats. Morehead City Marlins was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Robbie O’Neal had the most chances in the field with 12.

Edenton Steamers racked up seven hits on the day. Ian Jenkins and Copeland all collected multiple hits for Edenton Steamers.
