Wake Forest Fungo Slides Into A Blow-Out Win Over Fuquay-Varina Twins

Wake Forest Fungo easily did away with Fuquay-Varina Twins 12-4 on Saturday
Wake Forest Fungo pulled away for good with five runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Caleb Fluno homered on a 0-2 count, scoring two runs and Eli Meredith singled on a 0-2 count, scoring two runs.
Wake Forest Fungo put up six runs in the sixth inning. The offensive firepower by Wake Forest Fungo was led by Tristan Marsh, Hogan Stallings, and Hunter Zentz, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.
Zach Jones got the win for Wake Forest Fungo. The righthander lasted six innings, allowing four hits and four runs while striking out five. Daniel Stephens threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
Nate Davis took the loss for Fuquay-Varina Twins. The southpaw went five and a third innings, allowing nine runs on seven hits and striking out six.
Wake Forest Fungo tallied three home runs on the day. Thomas Fox had a homer in the third inning. Marsh had a dinger in the sixth inning. Fluno had a four bagger in the fourth inning.
Wake Forest Fungo collected 12 hits. Zentz and Fluno all collected multiple hits for Wake Forest Fungo. Zentz went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Wake Forest Fungo in hits. Wake Forest Fungo didn’t commit a single error in the field. Jake Brown had the most chances in the field with six.
