High Scoring Game Leaves TriCity Chili Peppers Overtaken By Greenbrier Knights

Scorekeepers were kept busy today during a high-scoring contest between Greenbrier Knights and TriCity Chili Peppers where TriCity Chili Peppers lost 11-6.

TriCity Chili Peppers fired up the offense in the second inning, when Ryan Boyce doubled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.

After Greenbrier Knights scored one run in the top of the fourth, TriCity Chili Peppers answered with one of their own. Greenbrier Knights scored when Jose Cazorla doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run. TriCity Chili Peppers then answered when Michael Peterson singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.

Greenbrier Knights pulled away for good with five runs in the third inning. In the third Jacob Jackson singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run, Cazorla singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run, Warren Bailey singled on a 2-1 count, scoring two runs, and Jordan Daddio singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run.

TriCity Chili Peppers notched three runs in the fifth inning. The offensive onslaught by TriCity Chili Peppers was led by Pond and Beavers, all driving in runs in the frame.

Greenbrier Knights scored five runs in the eighth inning. Shane McCarthyBailey, and Myles Webb each had RBIs in the frame.

Andrew Ramos earned the win for Greenbrier Knights. The ace surrendered one run on three hits over three innings, striking out five and walking one. Edenton Steamers Falls To Tarboro River Bandits After Ninth Inning Score

Saturday’s game against Tarboro River Bandits was a heartbreaker for Edenton Steamers, as they lost the lead late in a 10-8 defeat. The game was tied at eight with Tarboro River Bandits batting in the top of the ninth when Mike Dolberry singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.

Fuquay-Varina Twins Clinches Lead In Sixth Inning For Victory Over Wake Forest Fungo

Fuquay-Varina Twins took the lead late and defeated Wake Forest Fungo 5-3 on Saturday. The game was tied at three with Fuquay-Varina Twins batting in the bottom of the sixth when Jordan Daphney doubled on a 3-1 count, scoring two runs.

Wake Forest Fungo scored three runs in the second inning, but Fuquay-Varina Twins still managed to pull out the victory. The big inning for Wake Forest Fungo came thanks to singles by Hogan Stallings and Dillon Bennett and by Graham Brown.

Wake Forest Fungo fired up the offense in the second inning. Wake Forest Fungo scored one run when Stallings singled.

Nate Davis was credited with the victory for Fuquay-Varina Twins. The southpaw lasted seven innings, allowing six hits and three runs while striking out ten.

Fuquay-Varina Twins Takes Victory Over Wake Forest Fungo, 10-5

Fuquay-Varina Twins defeated Wake Forest Fungo 10-5 on Sunday.

Fuquay-Varina Twins captured the lead in the first inning. Corbin Lanowitz drew a walk, scoring one run.

Fuquay-Varina Twins took the lead for good with three runs in the third inning. In the third Zach Long drew a walk, scoring one run and Xander Hamilton doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs.

Fuquay-Varina Twins scored four runs in the fourth inning. Nate StocumJake Lysaught, and Jordan Montgomery each drove in runs during the inning.

Peyton Brown was the winning pitcher for Fuquay-Varina Twins. The pitcher lasted six innings, allowing four hits and five runs while striking out seven. Seth Bullock threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
