Carolina Pirates Falls To Wake Forest Fungo After Sixth Inning Score

Wednesday, June 23, 2021 – Lillington, NC

Carolina Pirates lost the lead late in a 3-2 defeat to Wake Forest Fungo on Wednesday. The game was tied at one with Wake Forest Fungo batting in the top of the sixth when Ryan Warren singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Wake Forest Fungo pitchers struck out six, while Carolina Pirates sat down six.

Carolina Pirates knotted the game up at one in the bottom of the third inning. Wilson doubled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run.

Carolina Pirates Clinches Lead In Fifth Inning For Victory Over Wake Forest Fungo

Wednesday, June 23, 2021 – Lillington, NC

Carolina Pirates snagged a late lead and defeated Wake Forest Fungo 8-2 on Wednesday. The game was tied at one with Carolina Pirates batting in the bottom of the fifth when Hedgepath‘s sac fly scored one run for Carolina Pirates.

Carolina Pirates secured the victory thanks to five runs in the sixth inning. N Thomas, Rodriguez, Wheeler, C Carroll, and Irby powered the big inning with RBIs.

Wake Forest Fungo got things started in the first inning. Tristan Marsh grounded out, scoring one run.

In the bottom of the second inning, Carolina Pirates tied things up at one.

Carolina Pirates tallied five runs in the sixth inning. Carolina Pirates big bats were led by Thomas, Rodriguez, Wheeler, Carroll, and Irby, who all drove in runs.

Tarboro River Bandits Loses Lead Early In Defeat by Greenbrier Knights

Monday, June 21, 2021 – Tarboro, NC

Tarboro River Bandits fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 10-5 loss to Greenbrier Knights on Monday. Greenbrier Knights scored on a single by Zachary Will in the second inning and a single by Trent Hanchey in the second inning.

Greenbrier Knights fired up the offense in the first inning.

Tarboro River Bandits put up four runs in the seventh inning. Tarboro River Bandits offense in the inning was led by Ethan Fewell, Pete Cosentino , and Will Smith, who each had RBIs in the inning.

Greenbrier Knights scored three runs in the eighth inning. Jordan Daddio and Kevin Gower each had RBIs in the big inning.

Andrew Ramos was credited with the victory for Greenbrier Knights. The righty allowed two hits and zero runs over four innings, striking out five and walking zero. A number of pitchers entered the game as relief, with Aiden Foley, Shane McCarthy, Wesley Overton, and Chase Godin all securing outs and ultimately the victory.

Carolina Pirates fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 10-0 loss to Wake Forest Fungo on Monday. Wake Forest Fungo took the lead on a home run in the first inning.

The Carolina Pirates struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Wake Forest Fungo, giving up ten runs.

Wake Forest Fungo opened up scoring in the first inning, when Hogan Stallings hit a solo homer.

Bryson Galloway took the win for Wake Forest Fungo. Galloway surrendered zero runs on zero hits over four innings, striking out six and walking one. Nic Povio threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Tarboro River Bandits Defeats Edenton Steamers In A Blow-Out Victory

Saturday, June 19, 2021 – Tarboro, NC

Tarboro River Bandits sailed to an easy victory over Edenton Steamers 10-3 on Saturday

In the second inning, Tarboro River Bandits got their offense started. Cam Hassert drove in two when Hassert homered.

Tarboro River Bandits tallied five runs in the sixth inning. Jack Culmovic, Pete Cosentino , and Hassert each drove in runs during the inning.

Zach Mallia was the winning pitcher for Tarboro River Bandits. Mallia surrendered zero runs on one hit over three innings, striking out six. A number of pitchers entered the game as relief, with Ryan Insco, Alec Greenblatt, Luke Carpenter , and Ben Roberts all securing outs and ultimately the victory.

Chris Buehler took the loss for Edenton Steamers. The lefty went four innings, allowing four runs on seven hits, striking out four and walking one.

Tarboro River Bandits smacked two home runs on the day. Cosentino went yard in the third inning. Hassert went deep in the second inning.

Tarboro River Bandits tallied 12 hits on the day. Ben Jones, Culmovic, Nick Hussey, and Cosentino each had multiple hits for Tarboro River Bandits. Culmovic and Jones all had three hits to lead Tarboro River Bandits.

Early Lead For Fuquay-Varina Twins Sets Stage For Victory Over Carolina Thunder

Fuquay-Varina Twins defeated Carolina Thunder 13-3 thanks to a strong start. Fuquay-Varina Twins scored on a single by Andrew Johnston and a walk by Zach Long in the first inning.

Fuquay-Varina Twins scored five runs in the second inning. Fuquay-Varina Twins put the pressure on, lead by a walk by Nate Stocum, a single by Long, by Jacob Raby, and a fielder’s choice by Johnston.

Peyton Brown was credited with the victory for Fuquay-Varina Twins. The righty surrendered three runs on three hits over five innings, striking out five.

Wilbourne took the loss for Carolina Thunder. Wilbourne lasted two innings, allowing five hits and eight runs while striking out three.

Edenton Steamers Use Big Innings to Defeat Tarboro River Bandits 11 – 6

Friday, June 18, 2021 – Edenton, NC

Even though Edenton Steamers gave up four runs in the ninth inning, they still defeated Tarboro River Bandits 11-6 on Friday. Tarboro River Bandits scored its runs on a grand slam by Kendal Pierson .

Both pitching staffs had their hands full, frequently dealing with runners on base. Edenton Steamers collected ten hits and Tarboro River Bandits had five.

Edenton Steamers opened up scoring in the first inning, when Aaron Copeland homered on a 2-2 count, scoring three runs.

Edenton Steamers scored seven runs in the fifth inning. Ian Jenkins, Anthony Stehlin, Casey Haire, and Chase Bruno powered the big inning with RBIs.

Cole Bates earned the victory on the hill for Edenton Steamers. Bates went two innings, allowing zero runs on zero hits, striking out two and walking zero. Ben Coffman, Tyrus Baumgardner, and Spencer Ambrose all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory.

Jonathan Peacock took the loss for Tarboro River Bandits. The righty surrendered four runs on six hits over four innings, striking out six and walking one.

Jared Davis started the game for Edenton Steamers. The righty allowed two hits and one run over four innings, striking out three

Edenton Steamers tallied two home runs on the day. Copeland had a homer in the first inning. Stehlin went yard in the fourth inning.

Edenton Steamers totaled ten hits in the game. Jenkins, Stehlin, Bruno, and Copeland all managed multiple hits for Edenton Steamers. Copeland, Bruno, Stehlin, and Jenkins each collected two hits to lead Edenton Steamers. Edenton Steamers was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Josh Pernetti had the most chances in the field with nine.

Tarboro River Bandits was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Ethan Fewell made the most plays with 12.

Greenbrier Knights Can’t Catch Up To Tarboro River Bandits

Thursday, June 17, 2021 – Hampton, VA

Greenbrier Knights watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 7-4 loss to Tarboro River Bandits on Thursday. Tarboro River Bandits took the lead on a double in the first inning.

Tarboro River Bandits got on the board in the first inning when Ethan Fewell doubled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.

Tarboro River Bandits scored five runs in the sixth inning. Tarboro River Bandits‘s big inning was driven by home runs by Pete Cosentino and Mike Dolberry , by Fewell, and a double by Jackson Cherry.

Russell Derbyshire was credited with the victory for Tarboro River Bandits. The righty allowed three hits and one run over three innings, striking out six. Julian Parson and Ryan Insco entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Orion DeBres took the loss for Greenbrier Knights. DeBres lasted three innings, allowing six hits and two runs while striking out four and walking one.

Tarboro River Bandits hit two home runs on the day. Cosentino went yard in the sixth inning. Dolberry had a homer in the sixth inning.

Myles Webb led Greenbrier Knights with two hits in four at bats.

Tarboro River Bandits saw the ball well today, racking up 12 hits in the game. Tanner Smith and Will Smith each collected multiple hits for Tarboro River Bandits. Smith went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Tarboro River Bandits in hits.
