Carolina Pirates Clinches Lead In Fifth Inning For Victory Over Wake Forest Fungo
Wednesday, June 23, 2021 – Lillington, NC
Carolina Pirates snagged a late lead and defeated Wake Forest Fungo 8-2 on Wednesday. The game was tied at one with Carolina Pirates batting in the bottom of the fifth when Hedgepath‘s sac fly scored one run for Carolina Pirates.
Carolina Pirates secured the victory thanks to five runs in the sixth inning. N Thomas, Rodriguez, Wheeler, C Carroll, and Irby powered the big inning with RBIs.
Wake Forest Fungo got things started in the first inning. Tristan Marsh grounded out, scoring one run.
In the bottom of the second inning, Carolina Pirates tied things up at one.
Carolina Pirates tallied five runs in the sixth inning. Carolina Pirates big bats were led by Thomas, Rodriguez, Wheeler, Carroll, and Irby, who all drove in runs.
