Edenton Steamers Stays Scrappy In Loss To Greenbrier Knights

Edenton Steamers‘s effort to come back from down five runs in the sixth inning came up just short, as they fell 7-5 to Greenbrier Knights on Tuesday. Edenton Steamers scored two runs in the failed comeback on a single by Jacob Bisharat and a single by Casey Haire.

Edenton Steamers couldn’t keep up with Greenbrier Knights early in the game. Greenbrier Knights took the lead on a home run in the first inning.

Greenbrier Knights got things started in the first inning when Jose Cazorla homered on a 2-1 count, scoring two runs.

Edenton Steamers notched three runs in the seventh inning. The offensive firepower by Edenton Steamers was led by Bisharat and Haire, all driving in runs in the frame.

Greenbrier Knights scored four runs in the third inning. The big inning for Greenbrier Knights came thanks to a walk by Jordan Daddio, a single by Thomas Crandall, and a sacrifice fly by Justin Kerestes.

Hipp’s Walk-Off Gives Edenton Steamers Victory Over Greenbrier Knights

Tuesday, July 6, 2021 – Edenton, NC

A walk-off single propelled Edenton Steamers to a decisive, dramatic victory over Greenbrier Knights, 6-5. Edenton Steamers was down 5-4 in the bottom of the eighth inning when Jackson Hipp singled on a 1-2 count, scoring two runs.

Edenton Steamers earned the victory despite allowing Greenbrier Knights to score three runs in the eighth inning. Myles WebbThomas Crandall, and Juan Lugo all drove in runs in the frame.

Edenton Steamers opened up an early lead in the second inning when Casey Haire singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.

Greenbrier Knights evened things up at two in the top of the sixth inning. Greenbrier Knights scored one run when Crandall singled.

Sam Duncan took the win for Edenton SteamersDuncan lasted two-thirds of an inning, allowing one hit and zero runs while walking zero. Blake Gipson and Cole Bates entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Tarboro River Bandits Claims Lead In Seventh Inning To Defeat Greenbrier Knights

Tarboro River Bandits snagged a late lead and defeated Greenbrier Knights 4-3 on Monday. The game was tied at three with Tarboro River Bandits batting in the bottom of the seventh when Pete Cosentino ‘s sac fly scored one run for Tarboro River Bandits.

Greenbrier Knights scored three runs in the first inning, but Tarboro River Bandits still managed to pull out the victory. Greenbrier Knights scored its runs on a home run by Justin Kerestes.

Greenbrier Knights got on the board in the first inning. Shane McCarthy grounded out, scoring one run.

In the bottom of the sixth inning, Tarboro River Bandits tied things up at three when Will Smith grounded out, scoring one run.

Alec Greenblatt led the Tarboro River Bandits to victory on the hill. Greenblatt went four innings, allowing zero runs on two hits, striking out seven and walking one. Jonathan Peacock threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Early Lead For Carolina Thunder Sets Stage For Victory Over Fuquay-Varina Twins

Carolina Thunder grabbed an early lead on its way to a 4-3 victory over Fuquay-Varina Twins on Monday. Carolina Thunder scored on a double by Lane, a double by Jaffe, and a walk by Morgan in the second inning.

Carolina Thunder Drops Game To Fuquay-Varina Twins After Late Score

Monday, July 5, 2021 – Stem, NC

Carolina Thunder stayed in it until the end, but Fuquay-Varina Twins pulled away late in a 9-5 victory on Monday. The game was tied at two with Fuquay-Varina Twins batting in the top of the fifth when Andrew Johnston singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.

In the bottom of the fourth inning, Carolina Thunder tied things up at two when Jaffe singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

Nate Davis took the win for Fuquay-Varina Twins. The southpaw lasted four innings, allowing five hits and two runs while striking out five and walking zero. Alex Woodard and Dylan Wheeler entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Wilbourne led things off on the mound for Carolina Thunder. The hurler went five innings, allowing six runs on seven hits and striking out two. Creech threw two innings in relief.

Edwards went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Carolina Thunder in hits. Carolina Thunder didn’t commit a single error in the field. White had four chances in the field, the most on the team.

Tarboro River Bandits Grabs Lead In Sixth Inning To Defeat Greenbrier Knights

Saturday, July 3, 2021 – Tarboro, NC

Tarboro River Bandits snagged a late lead and defeated Greenbrier Knights 8-6 on Saturday. The game was tied at five with Tarboro River Bandits batting in the bottom of the sixth when Mike Dolberry doubled on a 3-2 count, scoring two runs.

Greenbrier Knights scored five runs in the fourth inning, but Tarboro River Bandits still managed to pull out the victory. Zachary WillThomas Crandall, and Kevin Gower all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Tarboro River Bandits fired up the offense in the first inning. Dolberry singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Cole Vanderslice earned the win for Tarboro River Bandits. The righthander went three innings, allowing zero runs on two hits, striking out five and walking zero. A number of pitchers entered the game as relief, with Eli Culbreth Ryan InscoBen Roberts, and Coley Kilpatrick all securing outs and ultimately the victory. Roberts recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Tarboro River Bandits.

Dylan Schumacher took the loss for Greenbrier Knights. The pitcher allowed three runs on one hit.

Hayden Swisher started the game for Greenbrier Knights. The righthander lasted three innings, allowing five hits and two runs

Zach Jones threw a gem on Saturday for Wake Forest Fungo, allowing zero runs and besting Carolina Pirates by a score of 7-0

Wake Forest Fungo secured the victory thanks to four runs in the sixth inning. The offensive firepower by Wake Forest Fungo was led by Bryan ArendtJosh Hoffman, and Tristan Marsh, all driving in runs in the frame.

Wake Forest Fungo fired up the offense in the first inning, when Caleb Fluno singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run.
