4-Hit Day For Cummings Leads Fuquay-Varina Twins Past Carolina Pirates
Thursday, July 29, 2021 – Lillington, NC
Ty Cummings had a busy day at the plate on Thursday, smacking four hits in Fuquay-Varina Twins‘s 15-5 victory over Carolina Pirates. Cummings singled in the first, doubled in the second, singled in the fifth, and singled in the sixth.
Fuquay-Varina Twins earned the victory despite allowing Carolina Pirates to score five runs in the second inning. CJ Martin, Hedgepath, Tyler, and Zoltoski all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.
In the bottom of the second inning, Fuquay-Varina Twins tied things up at five when.
Fuquay-Varina Twins pulled away for good with two runs in the third inning. In the third Andrew Johnston singled on a 0-2 count, scoring two runs.
