Strong Hitting Not Enough As Greenbrier Knights Falls To Coastal Cockatoos

Even though Greenbrier Knights collected eight hits to Coastal Cockatoos’s seven, they still fell 8-5 on Wednesday at War Memorial Stadium. Nolan Williford and Joshua Radmore each collected two hits for Greenbrier Knights.

Coastal Cockatoos got on the board in the top of the first inning after Andrew Griffin drew a walk, scoring one run, and Jeycob Flores singled, scoring two runs.

A ground out by Ayden Farris extended the Coastal Cockatoos lead to 4-2 in the top of the third inning.

Garrett Simon earned the win for Coastal Cockatoos. The southpaw gave up five hits and three runs over three and one-third innings, striking out five and walking four. Ian Salters took the loss for Greenbrier Knights. The starter went three innings, giving up four runs (three earned) on two hits, striking out two and walking four.

Brendan White went 1-for-2 at the plate and led the team with two runs batted in. Greenbrier Knights had patience at the plate, accumulating six walks for the game. Tucker Rupe and Barry Farias Jr led the team with two bases on balls each. Greenbrier Knights turned one double play in the game.

Flores and Farris each collected two hits for Coastal Cockatoos. Flores and Farris each drove in two runs for Coastal Cockatoos. Griffin led Coastal Cockatoos with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, accumulating six walks for the game. Griffin and Jordan Hunt each stole multiple bases for Coastal Cockatoos. Coastal Cockatoos ran wild on the base paths, amassing seven stolen bases for the game. Coastal Cockatoos turned one double play in the game. Coastal Cockatoos were sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Cody Stodolak had the most chances in the field with eight.

Greenbrier Knights Loses Despite Out Hitting Coastal Cockatoos

Even though Greenbrier Knights collected 12 hits to Coastal Cockatoos’s 10, they still fell 10-8 on Wednesday at War Memorial Stadium. Tucker Rupe led Greenbrier Knights with three hits.

Greenbrier Knights was right in it until Coastal Cockatoos reached on an error in the sixth inning.

Greenbrier Knights opened the scoring in the bottom of the first thanks to three singles. Greenbrier Knights first got on the board when Kai Patton singled, scoring one run.

Greenbrier Knights added one run in the second. Greenbrier Knights scored on a wild pitch, making the score 4-2.

Coastal Cockatoos flipped the game on its head in the top of the fourth, scoring five runs on four hits to take the lead, 7-4. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Brady Donovan that drove in two.

Greenbrier Knights tied the game in the bottom of the fourth thanks to an error, and a double by Rupe.

A single by Cody Stodolak gave Coastal Cockatoos the lead, 8-7, in the top of the fifth.

Jack Pszczola singled to center field, which helped Greenbrier Knights tie the game at eight in the bottom of the fifth.

Kasey Barcroft earned the win for Coastal Cockatoos. The right-handed pitcher surrendered three hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out two and walking none. Patton took the loss for Greenbrier Knights. The right-handed pitcher went two-thirds of an inning, surrendering two runs (zero earned) on one hit, striking out one and walking none. Chase Mottley opened the game for Greenbrier Knights. The starting pitcher surrendered four hits and three runs (one earned) over three innings, striking out four and walking two. Peytonn Paris stepped on the hill first for Coastal Cockatoos. The starting pitcher allowed four hits and three runs over two-thirds of an inning, striking out none and walking one.

Greenbrier Knights piled up 12 hits in the game. Rupe went 3-for-4 at the plate and led the team with two runs batted in. PattonCordaro Williams, and Pszczola each collected multiple hits for Greenbrier Knights.

Strong Hitting Not Enough As Greenbrier Knights Falls To VA Blasters College Druzgala

Even though Greenbrier Knights collected six hits to VA Blasters College Druzgala’s three, they still fell 5-3 on Saturday at Virginia Wesleyan University. Kai PattonCT ThompsonJack PszczolaTucker RupeDylan Wood, and Barry Farias Jr each collected one hit for Greenbrier Knights.

Greenbrier Knights was right in it until VA Blasters College Druzgala singled in the fifth inning.

VA Blasters College Druzgala were the first to get on the board in the first when an error scored one run.

Greenbrier Knights took the lead in the top of the second. Wood singled, scoring two runs, to give Greenbrier Knights the edge, 2-1.

VA Blasters College Druzgala jumped into the lead in the bottom of the fifth when John Allen Stillwell grounded out, scoring one run, Andrew Lupien singled, scoring one run, and Hunter Gillespie singled, scoring two runs.

CJ Murray earned the win for VA Blasters College Druzgala. The starting pitcher gave up three hits and two runs over three innings, striking out two and walking one. Liam Richardson led things off on the mound for Greenbrier Knights. The starting pitcher allowed three hits and two runs (one earned) over two and one-third innings, striking out none and walking none. James Godfrey earned the save.

Wood led Greenbrier Knights with two runs batted in from the number eight spot in the lineup. The third baseman went 1-for-1 on the day. Greenbrier Knights had a strong eye at the plate, piling up seven walks for the game.

Gillespie went 1-for-2 at the plate and led the team with two runs batted in. Ryan DuganGillespie, and Lupien each collected one hit for VA Blasters College Druzgala. Stillwell stole two bases. VA Blasters College Druzgala stole four bases in the game. VA Blasters College Druzgala turned two double plays in the game. VA Blasters College Druzgala didn’t commit a single error in the field. Dugan had the most chances in the field with six.

Greenbrier Knights Bats On Fire In Loss To Tri City Chili Peppers

Greenbrier Knights’s bats were strong against Tri City Chili Peppers on Thursday, but it wasn’t enough as Greenbrier Knights fell 13-8 at Shepherd Stadium. Tri City Chili Peppers collected eight hits, while Greenbrier Knights had 11.

Joshua Radmore drove in four runners in the loss. The infielder went 2-5 on the day.

Tri City Chili Peppers were the first to get on the board in the first when Vick homered to left field, scoring three runs.

Greenbrier Knights tied the game in the top of the second thanks to a hit by a pitch, and a single by Bryce Radcliff.

Greenbrier Knights took the lead in the top of the fourth. Pellegrom induced Radcliff to hit into a fielder’s choice, but one run scored, to give Greenbrier Knights the edge, 4-3.

Tri City Chili Peppers flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the fourth, scoring six runs on two hits to take the lead, 9-4. The biggest blow in the inning was a walk by Dean that drove in three.

Tri City Chili Peppers scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth on a home run to left field by Carbonell on a full count.

Pellegrom earned the win for Tri City Chili Peppers. The starter surrendered five hits and four runs (two earned) over five innings, striking out five and walking two. James Stapleton pitched four and one-third innings in relief for Greenbrier Knights. The southpaw surrendered five hits and four runs while, striking out three and walking one. Luke Warner took the loss for Greenbrier Knights. The hurler went one-third of an inning, surrendering five runs on two hits, striking out none and walking three. Gavin Stevens began the game for Greenbrier Knights. The righty surrendered one hit and three runs (two earned) over three innings, striking out two and walking five.
