Friday, July 23, 2021 – Tarboro, NC
PCL East All Stars took home a 7-2 victory over PCL West All Stars on Friday.
PCL West All Stars fired up the offense in the first inning.
In the bottom of the first inning, PCL East All Stars tied things up at two when Jose Cazorla grounded out, scoring one run.
PCL East All Stars pulled away for good with two runs in the third inning. In the third PCL East All Stars scored two runs on a stolen base.
PCL East All Stars notched three runs in the fifth inning. The offensive firepower by PCL East All Stars was led by Casey Haire, Will Smith, and Minjae Hong, who all drove in runs.
Andrew Ramos earned the win for PCL East All Stars. Ramos surrendered zero runs on one hit over one inning, striking out three and walking one.
Ty Cummings took the loss for PCL West All Stars. The hurler surrendered two runs on one hit over one inning, striking out one and walking zero.
Alec Greenbalt started the game for PCL East All Stars. The hurler went one inning, allowing two runs on two hits Xander Hamilton started the game for PCL West All Stars. The pitcher lasted one inning, allowing three hits and two runs while walking one
Josh Pernetti, Nick Hussey, Levis Aquila, Hunter Cole, Jacob Bisharat, Anthony Sherwin, Case Kermode, Warren Bailey, Trent Hanchey, and Smith each collected one hit to lead PCL East All Stars. PCL East All Stars tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. Kermode led the way with two. PCL East All Stars didn’t commit a single error in the field. Bailey had the most chances in the field with seven.

On a beautiful Friday night in downtown Tarboro, NC, at Tarboro Municipal Stadium, the 2021 All Star Festivities were kicked off by our Home Run Derby.
This yearss Home Run Derby was a bombfest and for the fans who showed up early to catch the action, they were on their feet watching the awesome display of raw power the 2021 PCL Home Run Derby provided.
Josh Pernetti, San Joaquin Delta College/Edenton Steamers was crowned our Champion, after defeating Jose Cazorla, Bryant & Stratton College/Greenbrier Knights in the final round 6 – 5.

Join us tonight in Tarboro, NC for the Premier Collegiate League’s 2021 All Star Game. Gates will open at 4:30pm. Home Run Derby is at 5:30pm and the All Star Game will begin at 7:30pm. Tickets are available at the front gate.
