Greenbrier Knights Come Up Short Against Coconuts Baseball

Friday, June 13, 2025 – Hampton, VA

Greenbrier Knights fell to Coconuts Baseball 5-0 on Friday at War Memorial Stadium. Coconuts Baseball got on the board in the top of the fifth inning after Jaxon Powell singled to center field, Brandon Drewry doubled to left field, Powell scored after tagging up, and Drewry scored after tagging up, each scoring one run.

Max Fritz earned the win for Coconuts Baseball. The right-handed pitcher gave up five hits and zero runs over eight innings, striking out three and walking one.

Samuel Poore took the loss for Greenbrier Knights. The starter went four innings, allowing four runs on four hits, striking out four and walking none.

Addison Way, Dylan Whitmire, Warren Bailey, Ryan Hummel, and Sylvester Clark each collected one hit for Greenbrier Knights. Greenbrier Knights turned one double play in the game.

Coconuts Baseball amassed 10 hits in the game. Ahmaad Goldson led Coconuts Baseball with three hits in four at bats. Frankie Engel, Goldson, Drewry, Powell, and CJ Buchan each drove in one run for Coconuts Baseball. Coconuts Baseball turned two double plays in the game. Coconuts Baseball were sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Powell made the most plays with 15.

Greenbrier Knights will line them up again for game 2 of this mid week double header vs Coconuts Baseball, start time is 7:00pm.
