The PCL’s first of four Saturday Series of inter-league play, featured six great games as our teams faced off against teams from the Piedmont Collegiate Baseball League, Coastal Plain League and Carolina Collegiate League.

Edenton Steamers Outdone By Tarboro River Bandits, 5-2
Jack McIntosh pitched Tarboro River Bandits to victory. The bulldog surrendered zero runs on five hits over five and a third innings, striking out two and walking one. Kurt Rogers and Porter Braddy entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Braddy recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Tarboro River Bandits.

Jarrett May would not be denied at the plate when runners were on base on Monday, driving in six on three hits to lead Tarboro River Bandits past Fuquay-Varina Twins 15-3 on Monday. May drove in runs on a home run in the first and a home run in the second.
C Killpatrick took the loss for Fuquay-Varina Twins. The bulldog went two and a third innings, allowing nine runs on eight hits, striking out three and walking one.

Heavy rain and thunderstorms in the area tonight has forced the River Bandits to cancel tonight’s scheduled game with the Fuquay-Virana Twins. This game will be made up tomorrow night, June 13th, at 7pm, at Tarboro’s Historic Municipal Stadium. Gates will open at 6:00pm, tickets available at the gate.
