Monday, July 7th – Edenton, NC
Warren Bailey hit two home runs and drove in five as Greenbrier Knights defeated Edenton Steamers 11-5 on Monday at Edenton Steamers. Bailey homered in the sixth and first innings.
Greenbrier Knights scored six runs in the eighth inning on the way to victory. Dylan Whitmire singled, scoring one run, Colin Gifford drew a walk, scoring one run, Dallas Kaili drew a walk, scoring one run, Nolan Williford drew a walk, scoring one run, and Tre Keels singled, scoring two runs.
Greenbrier Knights were the first to get on the board in the first when Bailey hit a solo home run to center field.
Edenton Steamers made the score 3-1 in the bottom of the fifth after Gavin Edens doubled, scoring two runs, and Gavin Edens scored after tagging up.
A grand slam to center field by Bailey gave Greenbrier Knights the lead, 5-3, in the top of the sixth.
Greenbrier Knights committed an error, which helped Edenton Steamers tie the game at five in the bottom of the seventh.
Jason Miller earned the win for Greenbrier Knights. The lefty surrendered one hit and zero runs over one inning, striking out none and walking none. James Ross took the loss for Edenton Steamers. The right-handed pitcher went one inning, surrendering zero runs on zero hits, striking out three and walking one.
Gavin Stevens stepped on the bump first for Greenbrier Knights. The pitcher surrendered six hits and three runs over five innings, striking out two and walking two.
Drew Diehl stepped on the hill first for Edenton Steamers. The hurler surrendered one hit and one run over two innings, striking out one and walking one.
Calub Gryckiewicz tossed one inning of scoreless ball for Greenbrier Knights in relief. The righty surrendered two hits, striking out two and walking none.
Bailey and Keels each collected two hits for Greenbrier Knights. Greenbrier Knights had a strong eye at the plate, amassing 10 walks for the game. Gifford and Jack Warrington led the team with two free passes each. Greenbrier Knights turned one double play in the game.
Edenton Steamers piled up 11 hits in the game. Gavin Edens led Edenton Steamers with two runs batted in from the number eight spot in the lineup. The infielder went 3-for-4 on the day. Sam Stowe and Gavin Edens each collected three hits for Edenton Steamers.
Greenbrier Knights will travel to Coconuts Baseball for their next game on Wednesday.

Saturday, July 5th – Virginia Beach, VA
Virginia Beach Valor defeated Greenbrier Knights 6-0 on Saturday at First Colonial High School thanks in part to four runs in the third inning.
Virginia Beach Valor got on the board in the bottom of the third inning after Greenbrier Knights committed an error, Johnson singled down the right field line, Flora walked, and Kim singled down the left field line, each scoring one run.
Tyndall earned the win for Virginia Beach Valor. The hurler surrendered three hits and zero runs over six innings, striking out seven and walking two.
Danny Padillo pitched three and one-third innings in relief for Greenbrier Knights. The hurler surrendered one hit and one run while, striking out seven and walking none.
Adam Emhoff took the loss for Greenbrier Knights. The lefty went two and two-thirds innings, giving up four runs (zero earned) on five hits, striking out three and walking five.
Riley Anderson and Nolan Williford each collected two hits for Greenbrier Knights.
Johnson, Virginia Beach Valor’s number eight hitter, led the team with two hits in four at-bats. Selph, Kim, Johnson, and Flora each drove in one run for Virginia Beach Valor. Cohen stole three bases.
Greenbrier Knights will travel to Edenton Steamers for their next game on Monday.

The Greenbrier Knights Baseball Club would like to wish all of our players, former and current, our coaches and our fans a very Happy Independence Day.
Our next game is Saturday, July 5th, at First Colonial HS in Virginia Beach, VA vs the Virginia Beach Valor. Game time is 5:00pm.
On the following Monday, we will travel back to Edenton, NC for our final matchup with the Edenton Steamers at Historic Hicks Field for the 2025 season. Gates will open at 6:00pm, first pitch at 7:00pm.

Tuesday, July 1st – Edenton, NC
Greenbrier Knights had trouble keeping up with Edenton Steamers in a 10-0 loss on Tuesday at Edenton Steamers.
Edenton Steamers jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the first inning after Luke Alford homered to right field, scoring two runs, and Angel Rivera singled, scoring one run.
Edenton Steamers added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning when Conner Ferebee scored after tagging up, and Rylan Evans homered to center field, scoring two runs.
A solo home run to center field by Carver Pleasant, a double by Ferebee, and a single by Oliver Zohn helped Edenton Steamers extend their early lead in the third.
Brady Baxter earned the win for Edenton Steamers. The starting pitcher gave up two hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out none and walking one. Calub Gryckiewicz took the loss for Greenbrier Knights. The starter went two innings, allowing six runs (three earned) on five hits, striking out none and walking two.
Warren Bailey, Hunter Langston, Dallas Kaili, and Victor Johnson Jr each collected one hit for Greenbrier Knights.
Edenton Steamers amassed 10 hits in the game. Zohn and Evans each collected two hits for Edenton Steamers. Ferebee, Alford, and Evans each drove in two runs for Edenton Steamers. Edenton Steamers turned one double play in the game.

Greenbrier Knights couldn’t keep up with Coconuts Baseball and fell 17-7 on Monday at War Memorial Stadium.
Coconuts Baseball got on the board in the top of the first inning after Aaron Maxie drew a walk, scoring one run, Brian Jones grounded out, scoring one run, Tucker Love singled, scoring one run, CJ Buchan singled, scoring two runs, and Colton Sandiford singled, scoring one run.
Coston homered to right field, scoring two runs in the top of the third for the Coconuts Baseball.
Austin Wells earned the win for Coconuts Baseball. The pitcher gave up three hits and zero runs over two and one-third innings, striking out one and walking three. Michael Wingo Jr pitched three and two-thirds innings in relief for Greenbrier Knights. The righty gave up eight hits and eight runs (five earned) while, striking out five and walking one. Garrett Siegel took the loss for Greenbrier Knights. The starting pitcher went two-thirds of an inning, surrendering six runs (zero earned) on two hits, striking out none and walking two.
Greenbrier Knights tallied nine hits in the game. Jameson Dick, the number nine hitter for Greenbrier Knights, led the way with two runs batted in. Dick went 1-for-2 on the day. Riley Anderson, Colin Gifford, Colt Cundiff, Noah Kegley, Jayden Upton-Hall, Baylen Newcom, Chase Chamberlain, Trevor Harris, and Dick each collected one hit for Greenbrier Knights. Maison Becker paced Greenbrier Knights with three walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, accumulating 12 walks for the game. Greenbrier Knights stole five bases in the game.
Coconuts Baseball piled up 14 hits in the game. Coston led Coconuts Baseball with three runs batted in from the number seven spot in the lineup. The outfielder went 1-for-3 on the day. Love, Buchan, Jones, and Austen Townsend each collected two hits for Coconuts Baseball. Maxie paced Coconuts Baseball with three walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, tallying eight walks for the game. Coconuts Baseball didn’t commit a single error in the field. Buchan had the most chances in the field with 10.
