Edenton Steamers Clinches Lead In Eighth Inning For Victory Over Virginia Beach Sea Dogs

Edenton Steamers snagged a late lead and defeated Virginia Beach Sea Dogs 3-2 on Sunday. The game was tied at two with Edenton Steamers batting in the bottom of the eighth when Jackson Hipp doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Edenton Steamers pitchers struck out 17, while Virginia Beach Sea Dogs pitchers sat down four.

Michael Allen earned the win for Edenton Steamers. The righthander went three innings, allowing zero runs on zero hits, striking out four and walking zero. Cole Bates threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Edenton Steamers Grabs Lead In Eighth Inning To Defeat Boone Bigfoots In Home Opener

Edenton Steamers snagged a late lead and defeated Boone Bigfoots  4-3 on Saturday. Edenton Steamers was down 3-2 in the bottom of the eighth inning when Nate Paulsen singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.

Edenton Steamers got on the board in the first inning when Jeremiah Boyd singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

Chris Morris led the Edenton Steamers to victory on the hill. The righthander surrendered one run on one hit over one inning, striking out two and walking zero. Camron Lewis and Gage Riddick entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Riddick recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Edenton Steamers.

Travis Shumate took the loss for Boone Bigfoots. The hurler went two-thirds of an inning, allowing zero runs on one hit, striking out one and walking zero.

The Tarboro River Bandits open 2022 season with 10 – 8 at the Wake Forest Fungo.

Wake Forest Fungo fought back after falling down by six runs in the eighth inning. The comeback fell just short though, in a 10-8 defeat to Tarboro River Bandits on Saturday. Wake Forest Fungo scored four runs in the failed comeback. W WalkerC FlunoBrendan Burke, and Walker fueled the rally with RBIs.

Despite the loss, Wake Forest Fungo did collect 11 hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Tarboro River Bandits had seven hits on the way to victory.

Tarboro River Bandits got things moving in the first inning, when Chase Heath grounded out, scoring one run.

Tarboro River Bandits took the lead for good with one run in the fifth inning. In the fifth Rafael Garcia‘s sac fly scored one run for Tarboro River Bandits.

Wake Forest Fungo put up three runs in the eighth inning. Wake Forest Fungo put the pressure on, lead by a walk by Burke, a single by Fluno, and a double by Walker.

Tarboro River Bandits scored four runs in the eighth inning. The big inning for Tarboro River Bandits came thanks to a single by Brady Plunkett and a double by Blake Reed.

Cayden Parker was on the mound for Tarboro River Bandits. The fireballer surrendered three runs on four hits over three innings, striking out three and walking one.

C Schiff was on the hill for Wake Forest Fungo. The pitcher allowed one hit and three runs over two innings, striking out two. Will SaxenmeyerDavid Sande, and Blake Hanly each contributed in relief for Wake Forest Fungo.
