KNIGHTS DEFEAT PATRIOTS 5 – 2

Greenbrier Knights win rematch with the Churchill Patriots, sweeping the two game series by a final score of 5 -2.

The Greenbrier Knights travelled to Richmond, VA on Saturday to take on the Churchill Patriots in this rematch from last Saturday’s Knights victory 4 – 2 at Lakewood Park in Norfolk, VA.

This time the teams collided at Mills Godwin HS in Richmond, VA, where the Knights completed the sweep with a 5 – 2 victory over the Patriots.

Three Virginia Beach Sea Dogs Pitchers Combine To Defeat Lakeside Sluggers In Shutout Game

Virginia Beach Sea Dogs defeated Lakeside Sluggers 9-0 on Saturday as three pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Jason Boak struck out Josiah Harrison to finish off the game.

Virginia Beach Sea Dogs got things started in the first inning. Morris Ford drew a walk, scoring one run.

One bright spot for Lakeside Sluggers was a single by Jamari Pooler in the first inning.

Robert Hatcher was the winning pitcher for Virginia Beach Sea Dogs. The righthander went four and a third innings, allowing zero runs on four hits, striking out five and walking one. Danny Padilla and Boak entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Harrison took the loss for Lakeside Sluggers. The hurler went one and one-third innings, allowing four runs on zero hits and striking out three.

Virginia Beach Sea Dogs launched one home run on the day. Bryce Lane had a four bagger in the third inning.

Ford led Virginia Beach Sea Dogs with two hits in two at bats. Virginia Beach Sea Dogs tore up the base paths, as three players stole at least two bases. Trey Keels led the way with three.

Lakeside Sluggers saw the ball well today, racking up five hits in the game. Pooler and Zach Barco all managed multiple hits for Lakeside Sluggers.

The Norfolk Redbirds travelled to Mills Godwin HS in Richmond, VA to take on the Bel Air Barnstormers in a rematch of last weekend’s 11 – 3 Redbirds victory over the Barnstormers.

In a hotly contested game, this time the Barnstormers came out on top, squeaking out a narrow 3 – 2 victory, and sending the Redbirds back to Norfolk, VA with a split in their two games this summer.

Bats Blistered As Tarboro River Bandits Defeats Wake Forest Fungo, 7-6

There were runs aplenty on Friday, as Tarboro River Bandits defeated Wake Forest Fungo 7-6.

Tarboro River Bandits captured the lead in the first inning when Jarrett May singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.

In the bottom of the eighth inning, Tarboro River Bandits tied things up at six when May singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run.

After Wake Forest Fungo scored one run in the top of the sixth, Tarboro River Bandits answered with one of their own. Wake Forest Fungo alt scored when B Whitacre grounded out, scoring one run. Tarboro River Bandits then answered when Hunter McClean doubled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.

Tarboro River Bandits took the lead for good with zero runs in the fifth inning.

Jack McIntosh was on the hill for Tarboro River Bandits. The ace went four innings, allowing four runs on four hits, striking out two and walking zero.

Wake Forest Fungo launched two home runs on the day. C Powell had a long ball in the third inning. T Marsh put one out in the first inning.

Tarboro River Bandits tallied 13 hits on the day. James MosesMayMcClean, and Harrison Johnson all managed multiple hits for Tarboro River BanditsMay and Moses all had three hits to lead Tarboro River Bandits.

Edenton Steamers’ Early Lead Over Suffolk Voyagers Sets Stage For Victory

Edenton Steamers grabbed an early lead on its way to an 11-3 victory over Suffolk Voyagers on Friday. Edenton Steamers scored on a double by Nate Paulsen in the first inning, a groundout by Jackson Hipp in the first inning, a error in the first inning, a error in the first inning, and a error in the second inning.

Edenton Steamers secured the victory thanks to six runs in the first inning. PaulsenHippCase Kermode, and Bryce Stephens all drove in runs in the frame.

Edenton Steamers scores more runs than Tarboro River Bandits, takes victory on Thursday to the tune of 4-2

Edenton Steamers opened up scoring in the second inning, when Jackson Hipp doubled on a 3-1 count, scoring one run.

In the top of the fourth inning, Tarboro River Bandits tied things up at one when LIam McFadden-Ackman hit a solo homer.

Edenton Steamers pulled away for good with one run in the fifth inning. In the fifth Tate Abbott‘s sac fly scored one run for Edenton Steamers.

Nicky Wohleking was the winning pitcher for Edenton Steamers. The lefthander lasted six and a third innings, allowing four hits and two runs while striking out four. Gage Riddick and Cole Bates entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Bates recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Edenton Steamers.

Tri City Chili Peppers Can’t Catch Up To Greenbrier Knights

Tri City Chili Peppers fell behind early and couldn’t come back in an 8-3 loss to Greenbrier Knights on Sunday. Greenbrier Knights scored on a single by Blake Herrmann and a sacrifice fly by Dominick Proctor in the second inning.

Greenbrier Knights pulled away for good with two runs in the second inning. In the second Herrmann singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run and Proctor‘s sac fly scored one run for Greenbrier Knights.

Henry Suira earned the win for Greenbrier Knights. The bulldog went six innings, allowing three runs on three hits and striking out four. Timothy Blackman Jr and Andrew Ramos entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Ramos recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Greenbrier Knights.

Reed Garland took the loss for Tri City Chili PeppersGarland went two innings, allowing two runs on four hits and walking one.

Tri City Chili Peppers tallied one home run on the day. Mike Dolberry went yard in the sixth inning.

DolberryBrandon Eike, and Hunter Gilliam each collected one hit to lead Tri City Chili PeppersTri City Chili Peppers didn’t commit a single error in the field. Dolberry had the most chances in the field with six.

Greenbrier Knights tallied nine hits on the day. Herrmann and Burton Hahn each had multiple hits for Greenbrier KnightsGreenbrier Knights was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Warren Bailey had the most chances in the field with eight.
