Greenbrier Knights Triumph Over Spartans

Greenbrier Knights bested Spartans 7-2 on Wednesday at NORVIEW.

A double by Barry Farias Jr put Greenbrier Knights on the board in the top of the first.

Grant Hickman singled to center field on an 0-2 count, which helped Spartans tie the game at one in the bottom of the third.

A wild pitch gave Spartans the lead, 2-1, in the bottom of the fifth.

Greenbrier Knights took the lead, 5-2, in the top of the sixth thanks to singles by Farias Jr, Kai Patton, and Brendan White.

Chase Mottley earned the win for Greenbrier Knights. The pitcher allowed one hit and zero runs over two innings, striking out one and walking none. Machine Gun Kelly took the loss for Spartans. The reliever went one inning, giving up two runs on two hits, striking out one and walking two. Joseph Petry started on the mound for Greenbrier Knights.
