Greenbrier Knights Bats On Fire In Loss To Tri City Chili Peppers
Greenbrier Knights’s bats were strong against Tri City Chili Peppers on Thursday, but it wasn’t enough as Greenbrier Knights fell 13-8 at Shepherd Stadium. Tri City Chili Peppers collected eight hits, while Greenbrier Knights had 11.
Joshua Radmore drove in four runners in the loss. The infielder went 2-5 on the day.
Tri City Chili Peppers were the first to get on the board in the first when Vick homered to left field, scoring three runs.
Greenbrier Knights tied the game in the top of the second thanks to a hit by a pitch, and a single by Bryce Radcliff.
Greenbrier Knights took the lead in the top of the fourth. Pellegrom induced Radcliff to hit into a fielder’s choice, but one run scored, to give Greenbrier Knights the edge, 4-3.
Tri City Chili Peppers flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the fourth, scoring six runs on two hits to take the lead, 9-4. The biggest blow in the inning was a walk by Dean that drove in three.

Luke Warner took the loss for Greenbrier Knights. The hurler went one-third of an inning, surrendering five runs on two hits, striking out none and walking three. Gavin Stevens began the game for Greenbrier Knights. The righty surrendered one hit and three runs (two earned) over three innings, striking out two and walking five.
