Greenbrier Knights Loses Despite Out Hitting Norfolk Mermaids in Game One of this Double Header

Even though Greenbrier Knights collected seven hits to Norfolk Mermaids’s six, they still fell 4-2 on Tuesday at WAR MEMORIAL. Cordaro Williams led Greenbrier Knights with two hits.

Norfolk Mermaids opened the scoring in the second after a steal of home scored one run.

Jon Cullifpher earned the win for Norfolk Mermaids. The hurler gave up two hits and zero runs over four innings, striking out two and walking three. Joseph Petry took the loss for Greenbrier Knights. The starter went three innings, giving up one run on three hits, striking out four and walking three.

Nolan Williford went 1-for-1 at the plate and led the team with one run batted in. Greenbrier Knights turned one double play in the game.
