Wilson Tobs Takes 7-2 Victory Over Fuquay-Varina Twins

Wilson Tobs beat Fuquay-Varina Twins 7-2 on Sunday.

Wilson Tobs pulled away for good with six runs in the fifth inning. In the fifth Scarano singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs, Keller doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring three runs, and Seyson singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Fuquay-Varina Twins defeated Carolina Thunder 6-3 thanks to a strong start. Fuquay-Varina Twins scored on a double by Cam Jackson in the first inning and a single by Andrew Johnston in the second inning.

After Carolina Thunder scored one run in the top of the third, Fuquay-Varina Twins answered with one of their own. Carolina Thunder scored when Johnson singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run. Fuquay-Varina Twins then answered when Jordan Montgomery singled on a 3-1 count, scoring one run.

EXHIBITION GAMES VS COASTAL PLAIN LEAGUE TEAMS ROUND OUT 2021 SCHEDULE

The Premier Collegiate League is excited to announce that we have scheduled exhibition games against some of the top Coastal Plain League teams in our area, along with exhibition games with independent Catawba Valley Stars.

The Peninsula Pilots, Morehead City Marlins, Wilmington Sharks, Asheboro Copperheads, Tri-City Chili Peppers and Wilson Tobs will be matched up against our Premier Collegiate League teams for the upcoming summer season, adding great competition to the schedule.

CVCL TEAMS JOIN PREMIER LEAGUE

The Premier Collegiate League is excited to announce that we are expanding for the upcoming 2021 season. Three teams from the Carolina Virginia Collegiate League will be joining the Premier Collegiate League, establishing our new Western Division.

The Wake Forest Fungo, Fuquay-Varina Twins and the Carolina Pirates will anchor the new Western Division, while the Edenton Steamers, Tarboro River Bandits and the Greenbrier Knights will anchor the Eastern Division, with all 6 teams competing for the 2021 Championship.

The 2021 season will also feature a West vs East All-Star Game, featuring the league’s top players.

PREMIER COLLEGIATE LEAGUE

The TSL’s premier division, the Premier Collegiate League, was established in 2020, with the goal of providing elite collegiate players the opportunity to compete against some of the top collegiate players from around the country, in a professional baseball atmosphere.

The Premier Collegiate League will feature six teams competing for the 2021 League Championship. Our teams are located across southeastern Virginia and northeast and central North Carolina. with great facilities, loyal fans and great collegiate summer programs that simulate a minor league season.
