Fuquay-Varina Twins scores more runs than Carolina Thunder, takes victory on Saturday to the tune of 6-2

Fuquay-Varina Twins got on the board in the second inning. Alex Imposimato‘s sac fly scored one run for Fuquay-Varina Twins.

Nate Davis took the win for Fuquay-Varina TwinsDavis surrendered one run on two hits over four innings, striking out five. Dylan WheelerCarson Lowder, and Jonah Milchuck all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory.

Faulkner took the loss for Carolina Thunder. The bulldog went two and two-thirds innings, allowing four runs on four hits.

Garrett Chandler went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Fuquay-Varina Twins in hits.

Austin led Carolina Thunder with two hits in four at bats.

Early Lead For Fuquay-Varina Twins Sets Stage For Victory Over Carolina Thunder

Fuquay-Varina Twins defeated Carolina Thunder 13-3 thanks to a strong start. Fuquay-Varina Twins scored on a single by Andrew Johnston and a walk by Zach Long in the first inning.

Fuquay-Varina Twins scored five runs in the second inning. Fuquay-Varina Twins put the pressure on, lead by a walk by Nate Stocum, a single by Long, by Jacob Raby, and a fielder’s choice by Johnston.

Peyton Brown was credited with the victory for Fuquay-Varina Twins. The righty surrendered three runs on three hits over five innings, striking out five.

Wilbourne took the loss for Carolina ThunderWilbourne lasted two innings, allowing five hits and eight runs while striking out three.

Edenton Steamers Use Big Innings to Defeat Tarboro River Bandits 11 – 6

Even though Edenton Steamers gave up four runs in the ninth inning, they still defeated Tarboro River Bandits 11-6 on Friday. Tarboro River Bandits scored its runs on a grand slam by Kendal Pierson .

Both pitching staffs had their hands full, frequently dealing with runners on base. Edenton Steamers collected ten hits and Tarboro River Bandits had five.

Edenton Steamers opened up scoring in the first inning, when Aaron Copeland homered on a 2-2 count, scoring three runs.

Edenton Steamers scored seven runs in the fifth inning. Ian JenkinsAnthony StehlinCasey Haire, and Chase Bruno powered the big inning with RBIs.

Greenbrier Knights Can’t Catch Up To Tarboro River Bandits

Thursday, June 17, 2021 – Hampton, VA

Greenbrier Knights watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 7-4 loss to Tarboro River Bandits on Thursday. Tarboro River Bandits took the lead on a double in the first inning.

Tarboro River Bandits got on the board in the first inning when Ethan Fewell doubled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.

Tarboro River Bandits scored five runs in the sixth inning. Tarboro River Bandits‘s big inning was driven by home runs by Pete Cosentino and Mike Dolberry , by Fewell, and a double by Jackson Cherry.

Russell Derbyshire was credited with the victory for Tarboro River Bandits. The righty allowed three hits and one run over three innings, striking out six. Julian Parson and Ryan Insco entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Orion DeBres took the loss for Greenbrier KnightsDeBres lasted three innings, allowing six hits and two runs while striking out four and walking one.

Greenbrier Knights Clinches Lead In Sixth Inning For Victory Over Tarboro River Bandits

Thursday, June 17, 2021 – Hampton, VA

Greenbrier Knights snatched the lead late in the game in a 3-2 victory over Tarboro River Bandits on Thursday. The game was tied at two with Greenbrier Knights batting in the bottom of the sixth when Minjae Hong singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Greenbrier Knights pitchers struck out nine, while Tarboro River Bandits pitchers sat down ten.

Greenbrier Knights got on the board in the first inning. Warren Bailey drove in two when Bailey homered.

Hunter Perdue was the winning pitcher for Greenbrier Knights. The righty went three innings, allowing zero runs on one hit and striking out two. Aiden Foley and Hayden Swisher entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Swisher recorded the last six outs to earn the save for Greenbrier Knights.

Edenton Steamers Clinches Lead In Seventh Inning For Victory Over Wake Forest Fungo

Wednesday, June 16, 2021 – Edenton, NC

Edenton Steamers stole the lead late and defeated Wake Forest Fungo 3-2 on Wednesday. The game was tied at two with Edenton Steamers batting in the bottom of the seventh when Chase Bruno singled on a 3-1 count, scoring one run.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Edenton Steamers pitchers struck out 16, while Wake Forest Fungo pitchers sat down seven.

Edenton Steamers got on the board in the second inning when Casey Haire singled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run.

Tarboro River Bandits knocked in seven runs in the third on its way to an 11-1 victory over Greenbrier Knights on Wednesday. The offensive firepower by Tarboro River Bandits was led by Nick HusseyKendal Pierson , and Brantley Cutler, all knocking in runs in the inning.

Tarboro River Bandits fired up the offense in the first inning. Tarboro River Bandits scored one run when Hussey singled.

Greenbrier Knights evened things up at one in the top of the second inning when Carter Johnson doubled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.

Tarboro River Bandits pulled away for good with seven runs in the third inning. In the third Hussey singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run, Pierson doubled on a 2-0 count, scoring three runs, and Cutler homered on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring three runs.

Edenton Steamers snagged a late lead and defeated Greenbrier Knights 5-3 on Tuesday. Edenton Steamers was down 3-2 in the bottom of the eighth inning when Ryan Kay doubled on a 2-1 count, scoring three runs.

Edenton Steamers earned the victory despite allowing Greenbrier Knights to score three runs in the first inning. Greenbrier Knights scored its runs on a home run by Warren Bailey.

In the first inning, Greenbrier Knights got their offense started. Bailey drove in three when Bailey homered.

Spencer Ambrose got the win for Edenton Steamers.
